Give me something I value, and I give you my “Certificates of Appreciation”. Whatever you give me, be it food, housing, entertainment, travel, or knowledge, I value your contribution. The more certificates we collect, the more value we deliver.
Money is appreciation. If you give me something that I value, I give you my Certificates of Appreciation. Whatever you give me, be it food, housing, entertainment, travel, or knowledge, I value your contribution. I appreciate it so much that I give you Certificates of Appreciation in return. I may also give you a verbal or written acknowledgment of my appreciation with a “thank you.”
Wealth contributes to well-being. If I create value for you and many others, I can collect a lot of Certificates of Appreciation. In fact, with honest products and services, the more Certificates I collect, the more value I have delivered.
The wealth that comes from value delivered is one measure of contribution to the well-being of my community and even the world. This then supports more capital accumulation. (See “Capital – The Excellence of Excess”.)
